After rejoining Biddles as Managing Director in April 2004, Rod became the owner of Biddles through a management buyout in February 2005.

He was Production Director at Biddles until 1996 when he left to join Jarrolds and then moved to Cambridge University Press where he became Press Manufacturing Director, responsible for the Press's global Publishing and Printing production operations.

Rod has worked in the book printing and publishing industry for over 30 years and began his career as an apprentice at Oxford University Press.

He was one of the first manager's in the UK to be awarded NVQ level 5 in Operations Management and then went on to receive an MBA from the University of East Anglia. He also received a Masters degree from Cambridge University in recognition of his services to the University Press.
