The address for our FTP server is ftp://upload.biddles.co.uk (the IP address if required is 80.68.60.137)

In order to use our FTP server you will need a user name and password from us which will give you access to your dedicated folder on the server. If you require a user name and password then please either send an e-mail to ftp@biddles.co.uk or ‘phone your customer services contact who will be happy to supply you with the details.

Our FTP monitoring software will alert us as soon as your files have been uploaded.

If you want to upload files and don't yet have your login details then you can use services such as YouSendIt or MailBigFile to send us files out of office hours. If using either of these services please ensure that you send the files to the e-mail address of your customer services contact at MPG Biddles.

There are many FTP programmes available for both PC and Mac. We have provided guidelines below for programmes / browsers that are commonly used by of our customers and that we can support but you do not have to use one of them to upload to our FTP server:

Instructions using Transmit on Mac OSX

Transmit is available to download from www.panic.com

Start Transmit. You should be presented with a connection window - ensure that the Connect tab is selected (above right-hand pane), then enter the FTP server name (upload.biddles.co.uk) and your Biddles username and password, as shown:

Click Connect to start the FTP connection. Once connected, the left-hand pane shows files on your computer and the right-hand pane shows files on the Biddles personal server.

There are two ways to upload to the server:

1. You can simply drag and drop your folders into your personal folder from your desktop/server

2. You can select the relevant files/folder from the left-hand pane which display your computer, then right-click, or hold your mouse down. Select Upload from the submenu, you will see the files copying into your personal folder on the Biddles FTP server.

When uploading files please include your MPG Biddles Job Number as part of the file name i.e. 209800_Book_Title. If you have several jobs to upload then please create a new folder for each job (File, New, Folder). If you are not sure what your MPG Biddles Job Number is then please use the ISBN and part of the book title when creating the folder i.e. 9780123456789_Book_Title.

Please note that once files have been uploaded we will require a production order to be sent to us within 24 hours. This can be uploaded to the FTP site at the same time as the files. Work cannot commence on files until an order has been received.

We have software that constantly monitors the FTP server for new files that have been uploaded but we would appreciate it if you could send your customer services contact an e-mail to let them know that you have uploaded files.
